Introduction
The new CIEH Level 1 award in health and safety is run as a half-day course. The qualification has been designed to meet the need of those who are entering the workplace for the first time, or returning after a period out of employment, either as part of a work experience programme or at the start of their employment. The course provides an awareness of key health and safety issues and the part that they should play in keeping themselves and others free from harm at work.
