The C.D.M. (Construction, Design & Management) Regulations require that all those involved in the management of construction projects, including clients, designers, main contractors and sub contractors, have a co-ordinated health & safety procedure in place for all stages of a construction project.
The IOSH Managing Safely for Construction Managers course has been designed to provide an appropriate breadth of underpinning knowledge for non-specialists in health and safety to enable them to discharge more effectively their organisational duties with respect to health and safety within construction and other related industries. In addition, those working in health and safety in other occupational settings, but who require additional construction-specific knowledge, may also benefit from the course.
This qualification has been designed for Site Managers, Senior Foremen, Planning Supervisors, Employee Representatives, and those in professional practices who have responsibility for health and safety.
The course has been approved and validated by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and as such meets the requirements needed for application for the CSR Platinum Managers card. The course is also CITB approved and qualifies for the CITB Grant Scheme for levy payers.
