Local company Bemac Training Ltd celebrated the launch of the new NEBOSH Environmental Certificate in style this month, when one of the students from the first NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management course to be delivered in Northern Ireland, scooped the UK Top Student Award for 2009-2010.
Helen McCrea will be awarded her certificate at the NEBOSH Awards Ceremony in England this month. Michael Best, Managing Director of Bemac said, 'My congratulations to Helen on her achievement. She beat off a lot of competition from students all over the UK and thoroughly deserves to be recognised. We are very pleased with the uptake for the Environmental Certificate, The course is designed to provide a sound foundation and knowledge in Environmental Management and is aimed at Managers, Supervisors and Employees who have responsibility for managing environment issues as part of their day to day duties - a topic which is becoming increasingly relevant across all industry sectors. It's a Level 3 qualification that we in Northern Ireland have been waiting for and it is an excellent addition to our other range of NEBOSH courses. The courses have been very well attended and we've just received notification of another 100% pass rate for our second course.'
